Learn how to turn a small idea into a real-world micro business with just $20, using creativity, resourcefulness, and problem-solving.
Quick Background
Big businesses often start small. Daymond John (from Shark Tank) began selling hats on the street. Sara Blakely started Spanx with $5,000. You don’t need investors—you need an idea, a solution to a problem, and a willingness to try. Even a lemonade stand can turn into an empire!
Try it Together
1. Each family member writes down 1–2 small business ideas they could start with $20 or less.
2. Discuss: Which ideas solve a problem? Which ones are doable this week?
3. Choose one idea to test as a family OR support each member in trying their own mini version.

3. Create custom keychains or stickers
4. Rent out books/games to neighbors

1. Create a name and mini logo for your idea
2. Sketch a flyer or create a social media mock-up
3. Keep a log of money spent vs. money earned
